How Porchlight works

Households

  1. 1Answer togetherA household (a couple, a family) answers once for everyone in it, and anyone in it can change the answer.
  2. 2Start your ownTap People at the top of your group's page, then Make a household. Name it and pick who's in it. Leaders can arrange households too.
  3. 3Add everyoneKids, or a spouse who won't use the app, can be added by name as you make it, or later with Add family without the app. They're counted when your household says it's coming.
  4. 4Dates to celebrateGive each person a birthday, and your household an anniversary, so the group can celebrate with you. Just the month and day.

Good to know

  • Dietary needs are only seen by your household, leaders, and whoever's hosting or planning the menu.
  • Leaders see each household's attendance under Attendance (in Manage), like "came 3 of the last 4". Nobody else does.
Birthdays and anniversaries
